The first generation Keralites who came to Gujarat were drawn primarily from the ranks of secretarial staff and mill workers while only a handful were from the executive class.                                                     

The Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam, currently runs a School under its Education Trust in Vatva area of Ahmedabad.  The trust was established on 21.4.1981. The 1st batch of SSC. students appeared for board exam in March 2000.

It would be difficult and to some extent not relevant also, to pin point every achievement of a social organization of the stature of Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam.
